Indeed. You have explained your point and mine quite well. In a nutshell, it's the difference between believing that the universe brings "unsolicited occurrences" vs. your active involvement with the universe around you. If you believe, as I do, that you get in life what you focus on, then of course, the number 23 is going to appear more often in the form of hotel room numbers, phone numbers, etc. if you focus on it. You are, in a very real way, "bringing" this number to you by your active involvement with the universe around you. Think of it like the universe trying to teach you a lesson. Maybe you could focus on bringing wealth, health, peace, prosperity to yourself and the world around you. And you might find that you can expand beyond just the number 23.
I can say, from personal experience, that *I* have. For me, it was the number 22. I don't know why, but I was, on a very real level, inundated with that number. The more I would focus on it, the more it would appear. I learned this lesson at a time in my life when I wasn't really doing so well, and applied it to picking myself up by the bootstraps and focusing on bringing wealth, happiness, friendships, and health. 10-12 years later (ooohhh... 10+12=22 hahahah) and I am doing MUCH better for having learned that lesson.
