23. Fancy that, huh? Why 23? What's so special about 23????

Well......

I've been studying the Kabbalah a bit. Read some books.
Have been using it in my mind unflaggingly. And to be honest,
I never gave much thought to that one. But oh how it's tied in!

First, a little Tree background.

10 Sephiroth on man's tree, right?
Including both sephira side and qliphoth side.
Consider each sephira as 1, not two because of that.
So... 10.
Then you have the question of Daath.
What is Daath? God's gift of knowledge.

As an interstitial please remember that there are Four Realms.

So, is Daath truly the 11th Sephira?
Or the 4th?
On His side or ours?

OK then, you agree there are Two Sides.

Well......
It's fourth in His and 11th in yours.
What does this mean?
It means it's both.

That God on the other side is Tripartite. Don't forget that!

So... when you view God, you're doing so through the number 11.
Guess what?
That's just one that's doubled itself.
Don't believe me?
What's the snake doing?
That's right, it's reflecting.
Out of pure nothingness, it has seen itself from out of zero,
progressed to one, and now makes two by looking back.

How, you say?
The Snake is biting its tail.
The Snake is God. The Snake is one, that is two,
PRIOR to releasing the One. Him. Then he has to come back.
To reflect. To look back down the mirror. To see that he is not God.

Something else is.

So....

10 on one side.
1 in the middle. Self-reflecting.
12 on the other side.

Double that mirroring One.

Significance of "23"

The 23rd hexagram of the I-Ching signifies Chaos, Disintegration, Overthrow, and Discontent leading to upheaval.

The first line, yin, shows a person overturning a throne by destroying its legs. The change is abrupt, and carried out without forethought, therefore bringing misfortune.

The second line, yin, shows a person overturning a throne and destroying its frame. This signifies harsh criticism without suggesting a solution, which will bring only misfortune.

The third line, yin, shows anarchy. Individual members of the group act to obliterate the rulers, but in the end one among them becomes the ruler. This is the natural course.

The fourth line, yin, shows one who overturns a throne and injures the person who sat upon it. Unnecessary violence brings misfortune.

In the fifth line, yin, the emergent leader soothes everyone in society and restores order in the palace. This person's actions will bring good fortune in all spheres.

The sixth line, yang, likens the new leader to a decorative wreath of fruit, which is not meant to be eaten. Honorable people rejoice in the new order, while angry people carry on the war within their own households. Their discontent lies within themselves.

there are 2 two ways to get there..

I)
simple way:
e is the 5th alphabet
m is the 13th alphabet
c is the 3rd alphabet
and square
put them together, 5+13+3+2= 23!!

II)
the mathematical way to get it-
e=mc2
5=13*3*square
5=13*9
5=117
x=117/5

Question of the personal effects of the number 23

I got a question concerning what the personification of the effects of the number 23? Cannot say it is a number that has haunted me though… But I see a lot of connections towards it… Myself, I study a lot of astrology, and have been dipping my fingers into a bit of the numerology and discovered these weird connections towards the number…

Like for instance, I’m born 6/23/1985…. 6 = (2 x 3), 23, 1+9+8+5=23… that’s under the astrological sign of the Crab… that has a symbol of 69… 3 x 23 = 69… Also the Sun is at the zenith at 23.5 Degrees north by delegation… Summer Solstice… Sun is at 2 Degrees Cancer, and that happens to be the 3rd Degree of Cancer (third day).... 23

Then with numerology my four core numbers are 7+7+8+1 = 23… Topped off with my birth time at 12:38 PM. played around a bit you could get 23… but I think that might be a bit too extreme!

Does anyone know what this means? Any advice Is greatly appreciated!

Only thing I can connect it to is I was born during a plane explosion.

So I've been reading about the whole 11:11 phenomena..

I looked down at the clock on my pc and noticed that it was 11pm.. except the clock is set to 24 hour mode.. so it said 23:00

I thought "hmm.. I'll never see 11:11 on this clock unless its the morning"..

Then I realised that I was looking at 23! lol..

so 24 hour mode or 12 hour mode? that is the question!

u start wid 2+3=5+3=8+5=13+8=21+13=34+21=55 which = 2323. 2323/4=101 add 1+0+1 =2. plus the number of numbers ,which is 3 so 2+3=5.

I've had an affinity with the number 23 since I was about 11 years old. When I was 24, i started dating someone who was the first person who told me that there were others whose lives were pervaded by this number, though he didn't like talking about it for some reason. Soon afterwards I read about the 23 enigma on the internet and found this tribe.. up til then I thought it was just me. He also told me of a time in his life when he always looked at the clock at 12:34 and it drove him crazy. About a year before we broke up, the 12:34 thing started attacking me as well. 23s were everywhere during that time and in the months before we broke up, I would randomly (?) glance at the clock at both 12:34 am and 12:34 pm almost every day. One day, I asked my mom if she ever knew that I had a "thing" with 23 since I was a kid. She answered me "No, but the only thing I can think of is that it seems like every time I look at a digital clock, it's always 12:34.." Non-sequitur answer, but nonetheless, that's what she said. Keep in mind that my mother is NOT superstitious and I don't think she had any clue what she was saying would have any type of resonance with me.

Anyone else ever had a thing with 12:34 on the clock?

The bunker

The Alex Jones show today welcomed Loose Change creators Dylan Avery and Jason Burmas to discuss an exclusive interview they have conducted with an individual with high level security clearance who was inside the Office of Emergency Management in World Trade Center 7 and has descibed and detailed explosions inside the building prior to the collapse of any of the buildings at ground zero on 9/11.

The interview, to be featured in the forthcoming Final Cut of Loose Change is currently under wraps but the creators have allowed some details to leak purely to protect themselves and the individual involved who has asked to remain anonymous until the film is released.

We can reveal that the individual concerned was asked to report to building seven with a city official after the first attack on the North tower but before the second plane hit the South Tower and before their eventual collapse, in order to provide the official with access to different floors of the building.

The city official he was escorting was attempting to reach Rudy Guiliani, who he had determined was inside building 7 at that time. According to Avery and Burmas this official now works for Guiliani partners.

The individual was also asked to provide access to the Office Of Emergency Management on the 23rd floor of the building, this was the so called "bunker" that was built inside WTC7 on the orders of Rudy Guiliani.

J im Carrey told SCI FI Wire that he's particularly excited about his next film, The Number 23, a mind-bender about a man who becomes obssessed with the number 23. Carrey said that it was likely fate that brought the project to him, since he himself is obsessed with the number 23.

"I've had this obsession with the number 23 for years," Carrey said in an interview, while promoting his current film, Fun With Dick and Jane. "[The script] was given to me by a friend who had the obsession with it, where he talked about the Earth's axis is on the 23rd degree and 23 chromosomes in the human body from each parent and all that, and he has books written about everything that adds up to 23. As soon as he told me, I started seeing 23 everywhere. And it's shocking how much adds up to 23; it's a primary number, but it's bizarre. But it really works out in a strange way to be very prevalent everywhere."

Carrey (Bruce Almighty) will share the screen with Virginia Madsen in the film, which Joel Schumacher will direct. Schumacher last directed Carrey in Batman Forever. But, Carrey said, The Number 23 is not a comedy. "No, it's a thriller," he said. "It's about a guy [Carrey] who finds a book that's about a character that is obsessed with the number 23, and the number 23 is haunting him and leads him to do some very bad things. And then finally it starts happening in his life, and he starts to notice parallels between the book and his life, and the character and his life."

Carrey added: "I don't want to say too much about it, but it's really an interesting movie. I was talking about all this 23 stuff. ... First of all, the number 23 thing for me culminated in ... me talking about it, and at the very same moment, someone handing me a book about the 23rd Psalm, which became like my kind of mantra a little bit. Because it's about living without fear, feeling like you're taken care of, like you're safe. And so I changed the name of my company to JC23 a couple years ago. I started telling somebody about the 23 thing, and 'the valley of the shadow of death' and all those things it means, and they said, 'I just read a script called The Number 23.'"

Carrey read the script and found it compelling. "It's so interesting, and the way the mathematics are worked out in it, it's like this guy is Rain Man, the guy who wrote it, Fernley Phillips. So I decided to do it, and I gave it to a friend of mine to read. He read it in an hour and a half, [and] when I came back in he was on page 23, circling every 23rd word, to see if there was a puzzle. That's the kind of thing that I want to do to an audience." Production on The Number 23 begins this week, with an eye toward a late 2006 release.

I woke up today at 10:13. Ten plus 13 is 23. This article is being published on Feb. 3 -- the second month and third day of the year, or 2/3. Forty-eight years ago on this day, a plane crash killed three legends of rock and roll: Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper. Other culture heroes like William Shakespeare, Johnny Carson and River Phoenix each had their birth and death on the 23rd day of a month. Kurt Cobain died in the year 1994 (1 + 9 + 9 +4 = 23!). You see where this kind of thinking takes you?

Hannah Kersey, 23, gave birth to three girls in September, said Richard Dottle, a spokesman for Southmead Hospital in Bristol where the triplets were born. The children spent nine weeks in the hospital but the reason was not disclosed.

The girls -- two identical twins delivered from one womb and a single baby from the other -- were born seven weeks early by Caesarean, the British Broadcasting Corp. reported.

Kersey and her partner, Mick Faulkner, said they were "over the moon" at how healthy and happy the girls were.

"They are three lovely and incredible children, all with very different personalities," the BBC quoted Kersey as saying.

"There haven't been any similar accounts where three healthy babies are born of two wombs," said Yakoub Khalaf, a consulting gynecologist at Guy's and St. Thomas's Hospital.

He said that multiple pregnancies tended to be risky, and that delivering triplets under such abnormal circumstances was even riskier.

Separate or partially joined wombs are uncommon, although not rare. About one woman in 1,000 has them, according to Khalaf.

Pregnancies are possible, although they tend to result in premature birth more than half the time. One pregnancy in each womb is almost unheard of -- Khalaf said he had identified only 70 cases over the past 50 years worldwide -- and triplets delivered from two wombs has never before been recorded.

"This lady was extremely lucky," said Khalaf.

SOUTHPARK & 23???

Anyone else ever watch Southpark & notice they use a LOT of "23" references!

i.e. ~ one time the boys kidnapped some baby calves( to save them from being slaughtered) and YES~
there WERE 23 of them!

another time they were in a "tolerance" camp( poking fun at concentration camps) and Cartmen went to the outhouse to take a crap, and what number was on the outhouse door???
YES~ the number 23

AND another time Cartmen stole a bunch of baby fetus' that he planned to sell( for stem-cell research) from an overturned truck, that rolled off the highway...AND~
~ if I am NOT mistaken, again the # of baby fetuses was~
23!
I don't know about you, but I find it MORE than just a coincidence!

I am not a clock watcher. I look at the clock less than 10x a day and when I do look at the clock it will say : 8:23 11:23 1:23 6:23 so on and so forth. Does this happen to anyone else?

I had seven experiences with the number 23 come up in EXACTLY 3 hours today!! ...has anyone else had a LOT of 23 experiences in a SHORT amount of time?

1. I woke up this morning, looked at the clock & it was 11:23.
2. I went to the store real quick, and I was in the '20 items or less' lane, thinking I had 20 items(not counting them) when I really had 23!
3. Got home and got a call at exactly 12:23, but I was busy, so I told my friend to call back in a bit.
4. She called back at exactly 1:23
5. I checked my email to see if an email that I am expecting was in the "junk mail"(which I RARELY check Junk mail) and there was 23 "junk" emails.
6. I went to put a movie in the DVD player and looked at the clock( to see how long I had to watch it before I had to leave at 5:00PM) and the time was 2:23.
7. Then I ordered a pizza & the total was $12.23!

THEN FOR THE REST OF THE DAY I KEPT GETTING THE "SAME " SEQUENCES" POP UP!
I looked at the clock at the end of the movie & it was 4:44!
Then, I went to eat with my friend and the bill came to $8.88!
Then we got home at exactly 5:55!

I don't usually look at the clock that often, but I've noticed that when I DO look at the clock, I get a LOT of 1:11, or 2:22, 3:33, etc., OR 1:23, 2:23, etc.

Just out of curiousity, what is the MOST # of 23's you have come across in less than 23 hours?
OR, in a MUCH significantly shorter amount of time( i.e. my seven 23's today in EXACTY 3 HOURS)?

23 Club

Not sure how many people are aware of this, but in downtown Brisbane, just 1 mile south of San Francisco exists a dance bar called the 23 Club. It's been the home of country & Western music for over 60 years. Everybody from Johnny Cash to Patsy Cline, Merle Haggard, and Bob Wills have performed there. Buck Owens once led the band there.

The 23 Club is open every day, for anyone who wants to mosey in and take a look around. It's located at 23 Visitacion Avenue in the heart of downtown such as it is.

When Burroughs was in Tangiers, he knew a Captain Clark who ran a ferry over to Spain. One day, Clark told Burroughs that he had been doing the route for 23 years without an accident. That day, the ferry sank . . .that evening, while Burroughs was thinking about the incident, a radio bulletin announced the crash of Flight 23 on the New York-Miami route. The pilot was another Captain Clark!

Burroughs began to keep a scrapbook of 23s. When writing about Dutch Shultz, he realized that when the New York City gangster had put a contract out on 23-year-old Vincent 'Mad Dog' Coll, who met his end on 23rd St. Shultz himself died on October 23rd, 1935. As Robert Anton Wilson writes in 'Cosmic Trigger', the same night, Marty Crompier, another gangster was shot, but not fatally. "It's got to be one of them coincidences," he told police.

Speaking of October 23rd, Seventeenth century scholar Archbishop Ussher reckoned that the earth was created on October 23rd, 4004 BC, while the Mayans believed the world will end on December 23rd, 2012. [correction: the Mayan date is December 21, 2012]

Hexagram 23 in the 'I Ching' oracle means "break apart." 23 in telegrapher's code means "break the line." Aleister Crowley defined number 23 as "parting, removal, separation, joy, a thread, and life . . ."

This inexplicable fascination with 23 has become a mind-virus, seeping into the music of 'Psychic TV', the art of H.R. Giger, the comics of Jamie Hewlett and Grant Morrison, the literature of Robert Anton Wilson, Arthur Koestler, Umberto Eco, and countless others. The pages of the 'Principia Discordia' supply another feast of 23s. It now reached a point where one has to be sharp to differentiate between the 23s meant as signposts for those in the know, and those which appear for no obvious reason, in the damndest of places. The Internet is these days littered with lists of historical and scientific '23s', some of which are not so ` - i.e. mere coincidence, some mind-boggling - beautiful synchronicity.

The '23 Enigma' has its skeptics - those who say that it's a focusing of attention on just one number. This may be true, but as mentioned above, some folks have fun with 23s - the day-to-day synchronicity that raises a private smile - while for others it can be sheer hell, and we're not just talking about Burroughs' two Captain Clarks. Genesis P. Orridge (his band, 'Psychic TV', released 23 albums on the 23rd of each month for 23 months) told the members of another British band, 'Cabaret Voltaire', about the enigma. They showed interest, but skepticism. Two days later, Genesis received a phone call from them:

"You bastard! . . . We've come to Holland to do three gigs, and in ever hotel we've had room 23, and the gig on the 23rd was a complete disaster. And everywhere we turn, there are 23s. What have you done?"

"Well, I did say you'd start noticing it," answered Genesis.

The Number 23 - Schumacher & Carrey

Director Joel Schumacher has signed on and Jim Carrey is in talks to join psychological thriller The Number 23 for New Line Cinema reports today’s trades.

The script, written by Fernley Phillips, follows a man who becomes obsessed and haunted upon reading a book that seems to be about his life but ends with a murder. The number 23 is woven throughout the plot.

Schumacher was previously attached but had put the project on the back burner to concentrate on “The Crowded Room”, but with that film now undergoing major re-writes, the time in his and Carrey’s schedules have opened up to fit in ‘23’ before they move on to ‘Crowded’ and Ben Stiller comedy “Used Guys” respectively.

Shooting begins November. This would mark the first time the pair have worked together since their earlier team-up on 1995’s “Batman Forever”.

hello everyone - i was born on the 23rd of august (at 4:20, no less) and my name happens to be august too (three). i'm really glad to be here - to have found my 23rd family.

definitely, i am ALL about the number 23...have been forever, never understood but have always been enchanted, embracing the enigma.

i remember reading cosmic trigger and finding the chapter on the 23 engima. fascinated, i have found the number is everywhere around me, always pointing me somewhere...the most recent, i bought a beautiful wrought iron table from a neighbor and when the extra leaf was brought into the house, what was written on the bottom? yep, it was 23! the table of course, was destined to be mine....

for my last birthday, a friend of mine had a shirt made for me that said, "I [heart] 23!" how very fitting...

so i was up late last night and i caught the end of river phoenix - the E true hollywood story. and they mentioned that shortly after river turned 23 on the 23rd of august, he got freaked out about 23. he had a strong feeling that he would die at the age of 23. apparently, he had bad dreams of little demons chasing after him since he was a child and he believed supposedly that they were coming to get him then. sure enough, on halloween of his 23rd year, river died.

I see demons and other visions.

tuesday night, as i was laying down to go to sleep, a voice spoke to me. but it wasnt a "voice" becouse i coudnt hear it.
it was simply a series of comands that i wasn't conciously aware of ... thinking of.

the "voice" (for lack of a better term) told me to invision the word STAR in my left eye and the word SEED in my right.
again its not like there was a person inside my head telling me to do these things, but the idea to do it poped out of nowhere.
also while looking at the two words (not one) STAR SEED,
my eyes were completly open. the words were floating in front of me.
than the voice told me to blur my eyes and the two words became the word STRING.
this is when i bagan a waking tour of the single thread that our universe is made of. i would say it was like an astral projection but it was much faster and less controlled than how i understand those to be. it was like a roller coaster wraping and bending around everything. i dont remember anything else until i wake up.

the next morning...

i wake up at 5:30 feeling very anxious. i am late.

i make my way out of bed and the door. my destination the depatment of licensing, for i have to pick up a copy of my driving record.
the first thing you have to do when you get to the DMV is take a ticket dispenced to you by a machine that asks you to choose a butten that explains your reason for being there. and it gives you a number.

guess what number it gave me... 23

and it was isued (this information is all on the piece of paper, which i kept) @ 9:59 am. 9+5+9=? 23

and it cost $5.00 for my driving record. 2+3=?

and the date was 5-4-5 and 5+4+5=14 and 1+4=5

so as if this wasnt enough for one 12 hour period, whats the first thing i see when leaving this government building. illuminati pirimid with an abnormal eye floating above it.

and the next thing i see.

a demon.

but it was a human.

and a demon.

all get back to this but its a bit much for me right now

Perhaps you fine people can help me solve a little mystery. Throughout my life, I have constantly come into contact with the number 203. Let me demonstrate:

I was born on Febraury 3rd (2/03)
I used to live in Apt. 203
My mom used to work in Suite 203
Almost every day, I look at the clock at 2:03
I always look at the the time on my CD player at 2:03 into a song
I constantly see trucks (gas trucks, dump trucks, mixing trucks, etc.) with the designation number 203 (almost never another number)
I have several friends that live in different apts. 203
Recently, though I wish it weren't, gas prices all around my house were $2.03
I see license plates with 203 in them

It goes on and on. Any ideas? Theories?
I always thought of it being the Interstate route number for my life's little highway and when I see it, it means I'm on the right road. But I'm wondering if there's something more significant. If there's hidden meaning in the number. Am I getting a message from someone, but not getting it because I don't have my secret decoder ring? Any numerology experts out there?

I just got this from one of my students. I have always loved the concept installation of christo's work, especially the idea that the planning and the exacution are proportional. What really grabs me with this project is the interactivity with the structures, from the set up, public viewing and strike.

Read about his other projects over the river and the wall there is a consious effort to make the dimentions add up to 23. In the wall one dimention is 223 FEET wide and 7.23 METERS deep. sounds to me a consious effort to stress 23. I do not know too many people that mix that up mid sentence

I was just wondering if anyone was game to try a Haiku in a twenty-three syllable format? Haikus by definition are: a form of Japanese poetry which states in three lines of five, seven, and five syllables a 1.) clear picture designed to arouse a 2.) distinct emotion and suggest a 3.) spiritual insight. A tradtional haiku is written in the following pattern:

A blank page of sand-
At the water's cutting edge
The pattern shaping.

So it would have to be like, 8 - 7 - 8 or something like that.

I was watching "Quiz Show" last night. IN the beginning John Turturo tries to demonstrate his intellectual abilities to the producer who wan'ts him to take a dive.

He turns to a waiter and says "PICK A NUMBER ANY NUMBER!"

The waiter says "Uh twenty-three"....

He then goes on this whole spiel about everything he knows about 23 this, and 23 that....

Why me and 23?
I live at 23 Franklin with my wife who I found again 23 years after we first met. When we met we were 11 and 12 which adds up to 23. We were married on 10/23/04. Her parents, her sister and her brother we all married on 23rds. Her grandfather was born on a 23rd. She has a 23 tattooed on her.

When opening a round of dominoes the 2|3 is refered to as the Fleishhacker, you cannot score a multiple of 5 off of it. It may not be spelled that way, but I like to think it is named after Herbert Fleishhacker who built the San Francisco Zoo. He also built Fleishhacker Pool opened on April 23, 1925. It was the largest swimming pool in the United States.
